Artist : Misti (Ferdinand Mifliez) (Paris, 1865 – 1923)
Among the great artists of his day, Misti was perhaps most famous for his direct and explicit style. Largely avoiding over ornamentation, his bold use of line and color influenced many younger artists. An important poster such as this represents a direct move towards the concerns of twentieth century art.
