"Northern Pacific Railroad. Indian Country." Circa 1930s
40" x 30"
Maaron Glemby. Brown and Bigelow, MN
#P-2826
The Northern Pacific Railroad was instrumental in opening the American West. Northern Pacific, eager to keep the romanticism of the west alive, created a series of advertising posters featuring the culture and landscapes of the American west. For this poster, Glemby used his artistic talents to create portrait vignettes of important Native American chiefs and leaders.
